Trip to Yercaud

We have no words to define all the fun we had…awesome trip and I am happy that I joined on the last day! Lazy guy, you will get more proofs of this as u read…

Before we started Srinath (Mr. Arrangement from now on) made us believe that its been raining consistently up there and the temp is as low as 10 deg C, take 10 clothes along with your blanket…we felt the chill but may be we enthusiasts were not listening…all geared up, the casual contract KSRTC bus was on time wherever it went. As we picked up the last guy - Amit paaaaji, the mood was beginning to sway…la la la la and gulp gulp gulp ;-)…though I slept all the way in bus, but couldn’t help myself a peaceful one…it was all antakshari songs till 2 am in the night…gulam ali to what not, the greatest singers of all times joined us to make the journey great…it was all mist and narrow lanes which we realized while on the way back when we could see better…I feel we saved our lives!!! A thrilling experience…well, keep feeling envy…all of u who couldn’t make it…

So we finally reached Yercaud by 6am in the morning…amazing weather…tired souls…but Madam Dipti (known as Miss Countess from now on) insisted that she will make a head count at sharp 730am during breakfast and we all better be ready by then to move to our first hot spot…nobody counted the breakfast order but Miss Countess did her head count and we ended up making a guess on how much we eat, the bill could not be made…trust me, we ate a lot…

Here we start, the idea was to travel 3km safely and 1 km of trekking (not at all safe, only one person can go at one time!) before we reach the ultimate spot – Waterfalls…all of us - falling, getting up, bruised, hand-in-hand, singing (jai mata di, vande mataram), dancing, clicking, kicking, enjoying, shouting…voila we reached waterfalls…clothes off, boys are in the water save a few like me who felt water is too cold and looks too good when untouched…we enjoyed there for an hour and decided to return hotel, take some rest and then move to next place after lunch…Miss countess as usual made her head count at 2pm and found that somebody is missing! And it was I…oh boy, the sleep continued a little too long for me and I ended up the finishing lunch in the last…I liked the count this time and all the other times I hated that…vondu, yeredu, mooru, nalakkuabbaaa

Two vans were waiting for us to take us to the various spots (read seats, in yercaud there is lady’s seat, gent’s seat and children’s seat!!!). As we took our seats (in the van), it started rain, but God was with us…it stopped as we got down…the place is just beautiful, natural, untouched…we touched the highest peak, had the sweet corn (mixed with all sugar)…chocolate ice-creams, coffee…though there was hardly any shops, still Miss Countess managed to get what she came for…yeah, after a horrible squeezing of black panther a special oil is obtained (process courtesy – Arjun better known as Mr. Accounts) – Black panther oil (BPO)…just 200 bucks, get relieved of all the pains…I am sure, all the people who came last next morning would have tried that… Miss countess came last…

As we return, lake fun was just waiting for us…enjoyed a lot…Nitin (the palindrome) got wet, collisions, shouting, ting tong…tang tong…the evening was just perfect…after a quick head count, we left for our rooms only to get fresh before we go for a walk to the dimly lit market…couldn’t buy anything and Miss Dipti (not Miss C) had her hopes of doing shopping all shattered…she wanted Shopper’s Stop…J personally we all wanted a souvenir of this wonderful trip…just managed BPO

Too long a mail…right…too good was the trip…had a blast in the night…all collected in Mr. Mandar’s (Mr. Limp, am sure he was kidding us all the while he limped) Deluxe cottage…and had our share of dumb charades and some naughty jokes (Bagla and Swaroop, please don’t listen)…as usual I slept off before the end which came past midnight…and we kept playing all the way back in the bus as well…wish we put this energy into our work as well…can you hear me now!!! I don’t!!!

Thanks to Mr. Arrangement, he has his tongue twisted managing all the conversation with hotel guys…and the rest who made this trip possible (Mysore walon…special mention)…and count on me (not the head count) that it was wonderful trip…we should encourage such project parties all the time and I wish the rest of us who missed the fun should make it next time...

Ciao till the next trip…
